FILE A REPORT
AT THE REPORTING AND ORIENTATION UNIT
Guide to file a report
Step 1: Where can I file a report?
In order to bring justice services closer to the community, the ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE (AGO) has decentralized crime reporting facilities by creating the “Reporting and Orientation Units (ROU)“. Reports are immediately sent by e-mail to the on-duty District Attorney, who receives it through his/her PDA.
.
| These offices work together with the “Witness and Victim Assistance Office”, which has an interdisciplinary team that carries out psychological assistance and legal counseling to crime victims, witnesses or vulnerable people. |
There are currently 4 ROUs operating (out of the 15 that have been planned) and their office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 8:00pm.
| ROUs are located as follows: | |
| • ROU Balvanera Combate de los Pozos 155, Ground Floor. (Phone: 4011-1586/1542) • ROU Nueva Pompeya Almafuerte 37, Ground Floor ( Phone: 4911-4439) • ROU Villa Lugano José León Suárez 5088 ( Phone: 4601-2358/5363) • ROU Palermo Beruti 3345 Ground Floor (Phone: 4014-5800/5801) • ROU Núñez - Belgrano Cabildo 3067 3rd floor (Phone: 5297 5103) |

At the ROUs you can also ask for information about your rights, alternative conflict resolution systems and criminal proceedings.
Step 2: What documentation do I need?
You must show a photo ID that certifies your identity (e.g. national ID, passport). It is also convenient to bring any evidence that you may have regarding the crime or infraction you would like to report.
You also can choose one of this options:
